Ambassador Golf Club has quickly been regarded as the venue of choice for Public Golf in Windsor & Essex County, Ontario. Since it opened for business in 2005 Ambassador has been recognized in the media by being nominated as the ‘Best New Course” in Canada (Golf Digest) and in Ontario (OG Magazine). Most recently Ambassador was selected as the #50 on the list of the “Top 59 Public Courses in Canada” (2013) and #58 (2015). Both years Ambassador was awarded the #1 out of this list in “Best Value”. Designed by World renowned architect Thomas McBroom, this 7000 + yard gem is conveniently located a mere 5 minutes from the Ambassador Bridge and 10 minutes from the Windsor/Detroit Tunnel. Ambassador has partnered with local hotels to offer “Stay & Play” packages at Caesars Windsor as well as the Holiday Inn Ambassador Bridge.
Ambassador prides itself as being the big stage for the big event. The course has played host to a number of both professional and amateur events including the Canadian Tour Championship (now PGA Canada), CN Women’s Tour (now CP Women’s Tour) as well as the Canadian College Championships. Along with its stellar resume of professional events the Golf Association of Ontario often calls upon Ambassador to be the venue of choice for the major amateur golf events in Southwestern Ontario. Events like the Ontario Women’s Mid-Amateur, Ontario Senior Men’s Amateur, Ontario Junior Boys Championship and the Ontario Senior Women’s Championship and most recently the Ontario Women’s Amateur have all had stops at Ambassador. Coming in July 2017 Ambassador is very excited to be the host of the Ontario Men’s Amateur Championship!
